*Scroll down for rules on how to WIN UA clothing!
First of all, I am LOVING you guys lately. I have personally been reading a few new blogs lately (yay!) — which I will be sharing with you soon. And I can tell that in the past few months, I’ve gained some new faithful readers and it’s been so awesome.
When I share personal things, struggles, family stuff and happy stuff too, it’s so awesome to know that I’ve got friends out there reading this blog, relating to my life and sending positive vibes my way.
I’m always SO incredibly thankful when someone tells me they enjoy reading The Sweet Life, or that they feel like they can relate to me. I know there are people that read this blog from teenagers to grandmothers and I’ve been able to relate with all age groups.
So this is just a little THANK YOU for being there for me everyday, for reading what I’ve have to say, for cheering me on and feeling my pain too. You strangers from the Internet aren’t so bad 😉
Last week, I did a review on this super-awesome Under Armour sports jacket. I wasn’t just saying it either — I’ve been using this every time I go out for a cold, early morning run lately. It’s warmer than most of the thinner, dryfit long-sleeves you find and perfect for all-weather winter running.
And, luckily, I have ONE of these jackets to give away! No, it’s no the one I’ve been wearing 🙂 The winner of this contest will receive a seperate, brand new jacket of their own straight from Under Armour. Back side:
As usual, it’s super easy to WIN on The Sweet Life. You’ve got three ways to get your name in the hat:
1) LIKE “The Sweet Life” on Facebook here.
2) Click HERE to tweet the instant link.
3) Leave a comment telling me what you love about winter running!
*The WINNER will be chosen on Wednesday, January 9th and announced on The Sweet Life Facebook page. The winner will have 48 hours to claim the prize. After that, another winner will have to be selected.
I am new to following your blog, but have been spending time going back and reading some of your posts! It is very generous of you to offer this giveaway for your followers!I love winter running, because when you live in Tennessee (where the weather is bipolar), it beats running in 110 degree heat! I feel my running improves in the winter and even though it can be less motivating to run at times because of day light saving, I still love it. Oh! And I love the selection of winter clothes (would be better with that awesome UA jacket!) All I wear in the summer are shorts and a sports bra haha. Thanks for being an awesome, motivating runner and blogger!

I only tolerate winter running to race in the spring and look good for summer. 🙂 without it, though, I'm sure I'd lose all my summer/fall fitness gains 🙂

I don't enjoy winter running, but it just makes me appreciate my summer running more. Plus I love wearing tights, probably wear them to work if I could. Winter running is base training for summer work outs-sunnmyeyes
I am new to winter running. Heck, I'm new to running, period. I am living the cooler temps and the decrease in humidity. Living in South Texas, winter doesn't really last long so I am enjoying it while it lasts! And, I learned this morning that I need a running jacket. It was 40* and windy; my long sleeve drifit shirt wasn't enough! Lesson learned. I love UA running tights; hoping to snag this jacket to go with the pair I own and spend my Christmas money on another pair of tights. 🙂 I'm new to your blog. Thanks for the opportunity to grab the gear! I liked your FB page and tweeted the giveaway.
I always feel so accomplished! In the winter I hem & haw and keep thinking about how cold it is & how I don't want to do it. Then I get out there and 9times out of 10, I feel like a champion after! Something about pushing myself when it would be much more comfortable inside is extra awesome!
I like the feeling of the cool breeze on my cheeks. To me a cold run peeks my endorphins! I feel more alive right in the middle of the run because my body is getting warmer and my blood is pumping! I follow you on FB and twitted about giveaway! Would love to win!
Florida has no winters…lol…or barely…so when it's cold I have no idea what to wear!
Although I absolutely hate to be cold, winter running allows the opportunity to take a breath and appreciate the refreshing coolness as you build up body heat. That coolness is much sought after throughout most of the year when your runs get hot! I do honestly hit up the treadmill more in the winter but try to work in an outdoor run once or twice a week so that cold air isn't so fierce when I race.Great blog, by the way! I look forward to following your posts via Facebook and Twitter! -Happy New Year
Usually winter running sends me indoors because of breathing pain and asthma…but the more I try lately the easier winter running seems to get! Running has improved my health in many ways-winter running has changed my attitude about being outside duringthese months.! Looking forward to more!

I love running in the winter because I can always add layers. In the summer you can't take enough off. I just wish the sun would come up sooner.

I would love a warm winter jacket – awesome giveaway! I love winter running, because you can always add more layers to get warm, but only so many you can take off when it's hot. 🙂

I like the Sweet Life on fb already 🙂
Oh winter running… I love crisp morning runs and the feeling of slowly warming up as I go on and then stripping it all off at the end! 🙂
I tweeted the giveaway link. Winter running is hard but feels great! Early morning is best-get it out of the way. I mostly like it because I'm not sweating my buns off. Props to you girls running in freezing weather and snow!!!
I love winter running because I really hate to be hot!! lol. Jacket is awesome!
I've actually been enjoying winter running a lot more than I used to. Somehow my pace has picked up, and that's something I struggled with since the summer.
I liked and tweeted too
I tweeted & liked. My favorite part of winter running… No overheating? Lol. I do much prefer the summer but winter isn't so bad with the right gear.

I actually love the peace of winter running. Sure it's chilly to start, but I feel more at one with the outdoors when you feel the crisp air and see your breath.

one thing i love about winter running is that the streets are emptier than usual – of people, cars, even foliage – makes it feel like my own private course and gives me more of a chance to reflect on my own thoughts. cold weather also makes coming home to a hot cup of tea soexciting!
My favorite part is after I'm warmed up…when I forget how cold it really is outside! This morning I am getting ready to run in the East Coast cold for the first time ever… hopefully it's as easy to warm up here as it is back home.

My favorite part about winter running is the openness. There always seems to be less people and cars on the paths. It's kind of like my own open road. Sometimes I find myself talking out loud to myself on long runs. Hehe.

Let's be honest. It's hard to love winter running when I am cold-natured year round. I am beginning to learn how to embrace the cold. Because I will need to channel some of those cold runs when the July and August heat hit.

About the only thing I love about winter running is the fact that one of the biggest 15Ks of the year is in my city in the winter! ~nikki
