I love hummus. I mean LOVE. I need only a bit of chip or tiny piece of veggie to go with an entire tablespoon glop of hummus. But, I’ve always eaten store bought hummus — namely Sabra.
But it was time. Getting my own food processor means finding reasons to use it, at least once a week in my opinion. When I saw Caitlin’s recipe for “embarrassingly easy hummus,” I book marked and saved for a later day.
Cue yesterday, when I had a glorious Saturday morning to myself and a kitchen needing usage. Plus, I’d bought all the ingredients the week before so I was golden. It was just as simple as I thought — and delicious too. Thought I’d give you a little video tutoriol:
- 2 cans garbanzo beans, drained
- 2 lemons, juiced
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons tahini
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- pinch of salt
Directions: Add garbanzo beans to the food processor and pulse until finely chopped. Add lemon juice, olive oil, tahini, garlic and salt. Pulse until combined.
