This week, I had the awesome opportunity to attend a VIP opening for a brand new, innovative fitness clothing store — Chelsea Collective. I love how they made it such a fun event to kick off the opening — which is this weekend, August 8-9th.
Oh and ran into some other blogger friends while we were there — pic includes Chelsea, Ashley and Anne.
The stores is located in the Tyson’s Corner Mall and I’ve got to say, I was impressed!
My friend Rachel and I showed up for the event and were immediately offered champagne and appetizers (I had water!), as well as given a tour of the store by an employee. I wasn’t sure what to expect but you know I’d rather shop for workout clothes than real clothes any day.
They had a full wall of Nike clothes — a massive selection that I haven’t seen in other stores — and then came my favorite part…in store Lorna Jane! I have been a fan of Lorna Jane since I was introduced to them by Fitfluential last year, but the brand is almost exclusively sold online. Their partnership with Chelsea Collective is so great! They have an awesome variety of clothes for all types of bodies and activities.
Another cool brand in Chelsea was Calia by Carrie Underwood. That is pretty new and you won’t see it sold in many retail stories either. If only Carrie could have been there herself! I snagged myself a Calia yoga block 😉 The store also featured original clothing from the brand and tons of accessories to choose from as well.
The store was certainly buzzing with activity and people wearing cute clothes I noticed, ha ha.
Before leaving, we got a goody bag — which was truly good! It was a really nice Nike exercise bag with a few treasures inside, including that yoga block, some cute hair holders, a water bottle and refresher spray. I have been dying to get a good workout bag forever but never want to splurge so this was a real win for me. Check it out:
I’m so glad to know there is such a great, innovative fitness clothing store nearby. Fitnesswear has become a real style these days and for those of us with the luxury of working from home sometimes, it’s nice to look cute and be comfortable! Plus, it makes me excited to workout when I have clothes that are flattering and fun!
Have you tried Lorna Jane or Calia by Carrie? What are your favorite places to buy fitness clothes?
So bummed I missed you last night. I’m totally in love with this store! I was excited to see Lorna Jane as well, and the Calia line totally rocks!
I’m sorry we didn’t get a chance to say hello! It was a little crazy in there!!
I’ve never heard of Chelsea Collective but it looks awesome! I like that you can find multiple brands in one spot!
Come check it out next time you are in the DC area! 🙂
