This weekend was baby shower #1! When you live in a different state, you get to have two! I have been looking forward to it for a long time — and was so thankful one of my oldest, dearest friends, Megan, offered to host the party at her house.
Her Mom, who also made our high school graduation party cake, offered to make the cake (and cupcakes) for the shower! Even though I’m a chocoholic, I actually prefer white cake with vanilla icing so that was what I requested 🙂
I love an excuse to see friends and family that I don’t get to see that often so this was great! I should have worn a more bump-friendly dress because it was kind of masked but still. At nearly 30 weeks on Saturday, I still see myself as fairly small!

I was incredibly blessed to receive so many wonderful gifts. As we inch closer to December 2nd, I was getting worried we hadn’t bought hardly anything yet! I can tell you now, I’m stocked up on some cool baby gadgets that will come in handy. I have some generous & amazing friends and family!
I also loved that this baby shower was kid friendly. I’m one of the last of my hometown friends to have a baby so everyone kind of already came stocked up. I think we had 13 kids at the shower, though two are not pictured below because they refused to be photographed!
My best friends from high school — Megan, me Britney & Amy — pictured above. We actually had our high school graduation party together (minus one AnneG, who now lives in Colorado!). It’a so great to be able to go home and reconnect. Thanks to all of them for helping Megan put on the shower and showing me a great time! I have a lot to learn from all my Mom-friends so I’m sure I’ll be asking for advice 🙂
Awww so fun! You look great Ericka!
