Remember last year when I had a blast at the Runner’s World Half-Marathon Festival in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania? Well, yeah, that’s happening again and I’m really excited! It’s the fall race NOT to miss!

I’m honored that RW asked me back to cover the event and run as a blogger. This year, there’s a fresh crop of other bloggers — most of which I haven’t met, so I’m so excited to make some new friends. I knew a lot more ladies that went last year so this will be fun.

And there’s still plenty of time for you get registered as well. If you live even remotely close to PA, please consider joining us for what is truly a unique race experience.

The people at Runner’s World are genuinely the nicest I’ve ever met. They love people and want to create a weekend that you’ll never forget. There one of the only big magazines NOT based in New York and the staff is like a big family.

You will have no trouble finding Bart Yasso (that’s us above!) for a photo or shaking hands with editor Dave Willey. Last year, I got to hang out with Olympian Summer Sanders and hear the most amazing speech from Boston Marathon Race Director Dave McGillivary.

How is this different than other races?

  • It’s not just a race, it’s an entire weekend. There are three races — 5k, 10k, and half-marathon. You can run one, two or all three (aka “Hat Trick.”)
  • There are seminars, live music, kids races, prerace dinner, dog races & more!
  • The expo is AMAZING! And everyone is beyond excited to be there 🙂

Because Runner’s World is so dedicated to their readers, they want this to be the best you’ve ever seen — and they don’t fail. Here are the details:

See, now you have NO excuse not to go! I’ll be driving, which takes about 3 hours so I expect you to be there if you are anywhere close! Even if you aren’t close, it’s honestly an experience worth a plane ride. To be surrounded by tons of other happy runners who also love RW mag? You can’t get an environment better than that.

The PA countryside is beautiful, as well as the smoke stacks, the water and more. I cannot wait until next month! Also, you’ll get to do THIS:
