I am a salsa girl! I would like to go to a restaurant where there is just a salsa bar — chock full of salsas from spicy to sweet to savory to sour!
I want it to have little mini-bowls for tasting them all and 10 thousand kinds of chips to choose from. I want it to be paired with fruity beers and of course — salsa music!
Sadly, I have yet to find this salsa heaven — can anyone help me out with some suggestions? Or perhaps I should become a salsa entreprenuer!
Okay, this fruit salsa I’ve made isn’t salsa salsa, but it’s close enough for me! And let’s be honest, you really can’t go wrong with an avocado.
Mangos might be my all time favorite fruit so win-win! I paired this with mini-scoops multi-grain Tostitos. For some reason, I think the multi-grain Tostitos taste ten times better than regular…maybe it’s their goldeny look? Not sure but I love ’em!
What’s YOUR favorite type of salsa or dip? What are the best chips for dipping?
Ingredients:
- 1/2 carton strawberries
- 1 whole mango
- 3/4 fresh pineapple, cubed
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- Chopped cilantro
- Salt & pepper
- Chips!
Directions: Chop, mix, toss & eat!
*You can also just eat this by the spoonful sans chips. I mean…that’s just what I heard 🙂
That looks delish! I never think of making sweet salsas though.

So delicious! Brilliant idea!
That salsa bar is an amazing idea. I think it could be huge and you have something there.I love all kinds of salsa, but if you're asking for a favorite and include dips, I'd have to go with hot crab dip. If I'm sticking in the Tex-Mex realm; salsa con queso.
I love salsa too. This post makes me want to have a salsa night at my house. Salsa and margaritas, what more could you want! This looks amazing!

This looks YUM!
Okay, seriously… I think you need to open a swanky salsa bar. That is brilliant!!! I'll totally invest in that… Of course, I don't have much to invest… I can promise an abundance of moral support. :)That salsa looks amazing! I had some mangos in my fridge for a few weeks until the went bad and I threw them into my backyard compost pile/dead garden… They were given to became I just didn't know what to do with them. How sad is that? Now that I have this, I'll never lose another mango! 🙂
This salsa is fantastic!! I'm a salsa girl too and I love everything you have going on in this! AND it's so pretty!!

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness, oh my goodness, trying to control salivation and excitement at the prospect of a salsa bar at the same time. SUCH a good idea! This salsa happens to include many of my favorite things, so I'm pretty sure I would eat it like a salad too, as well as with chips, of course. Please open a salsa bar
Thanks all! I really love sweet salsa, Lauren. There's just so many ways to make salsa that I don't even know where to begin! I want a salsa bar!! Perhaps we should start a salsa contest or have a salsa "cook off" like they have chili cookoffs? Maybe!

I have to say that this is delicious Salsa! I am a salsa girl, too and love all kinds (but the hot ones are too hard to handle). There IS a restaurant with a HUGE salsa bar in Arizona that I went to….A-MA-ZING! You would love it!

Oh I just love interesting salsas! One of my favorites is to chop up fresh fruit very fine with very finely chopped jalepeno. You get the sweet with just a zing of spice. Served with baked tortilla chips that are coated in sugar and cinnamon!
