Everyone — even non-bloggy people I know — are blogging it up like fools lately. So what is this — me, not blogging? It’s a conspiracy. I simply must do it, especially since I started taking pictures of food I make and eat. Especially since Eat Live Run has totally inspired me to cook more and eat veggies and do fun, exciting things. And, since my sister started rocking out the marathon blog, Out for a Run, which I’ll be guest posting on oh so very soon. Then, today, I see Allison’s got a running blog too — Running Rampant. Oh yeah, and my DAD started one — even if he doesn’t keep up with it much, it’s still putting me to shame! My blog is all things — food, running, politics, love, religion — but as I’m gearing up to train for the Baltimore Marathon — it’s about time I got back on it. Also, credit goes to Michelle, who is gaining an impressive following for the great blog she is keeping up! Oh yeah, and to Jenny who did a great job keeping me uber-jealous with all her travel blogging in Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.

You’ll be seeing a lot of this little dollface, my niece Giovaanna:

The second reason is because I can go public now. I’ve just gotten a new job. After 2.5 years of working in Congress, I can have my voice out in the open again. I have to say, though, that tempering it down and spending this time actually learning more about government and growing up a bit, will help me a whole heck of a lot moving forward. When I read some of the stuff I used to write after first moving to DC and getting into politics, I’m almost embarrassed. I had a lot of learning to do. Now that I’m almost 30 (no, seriously, I know), I feel a tad bit smarter.

Anyhoo, I’m looking forward to being online again and I’m going to stop using Facebook as my personal blog (I’m sure somebody will be happy.) I’m back!
