Everyone knows that fish is one of the healthiest things you can eat. It’s usually high in Omega-3’s and protein. Luckily, it’s also pretty easy to make in — in a ton of different ways.

I was really excited when I got the opportunity to try out a new brand of healthy fish — Sizzlefish. Full disclosure, I was sent this product for free through Fitfluential. The great thing about Sizzlefish is when you buy a variety pack, you get a box full of 5 different kinds of fish to stock in your freezer:

When I got my variety pack, I was stoked. We rarely ever buy dinner out so I cook a lot — and having this on hand was really nice. I already made one meal with the salmon so was pumped to try out the rainbow trout for last night’s meal.

Spices are easy to mix and match and I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with it so I tried tossing a few things together to see what worked. Well, apparently, I chose well because the result was totally delicious!

Here’s the recipe I used:

  • 2 rainbow trout filets
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. paprika

Directions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Divide the butter and insert into the opening in the fish. Add all the other ingredients evenly over each fish, ending with the paprika. Bake for 20-25 minutes until done.

I also wanted to get my veggies of course, so I sauteed some kale with salt and pepper — it was easy and delicious as well!

So it took all of 30 minutes to throw this together and it was really good! Yes, those are instant mashed potatoes — don’t hate! I actually like these a lot, though I can’t imagine they are super healthy.

More good stuff to know about Sizzlefish — and I hope you consider trying it out!

Good things to know about Sizzlefish:

  • Studies show that a diet high in fish, particularly fish high in Omega-3 fatty acids, enahances athletic performance and health.
  • Sizzlefish is a home delivery supplier of pre-portioned, high quality seafood items, specially developed for athletes in training.
  • Flavor is as important as nutrition. Sizzlefish serves as your trusted seafood supplier, providing fish frozen at its peak of quality, for great-tasting meals and optimum performance.

What are you waiting for? 🙂
